ABOUT ME
I am a passionate oil painter and author devoted to harnessing the transformative power of art to inspire and unite people. With over twenty years of experience in the art industry, I have been honored with numerous accolades that celebrate my contributions to this vibrant field. Now based in the heart of Chicago, IL, I deeply believe that art is a profound source of healing—it can touch our innermost emotions, inspire change, and illuminate even our darkest days.
Every brushstroke, note, or word carries the potential to mend hearts, spark hope, and ignite our spirits. I invite you to embrace the transformative journey of art, which can lead us toward understanding, connection, and inner peace. Let it shine as a beacon in challenging times, reminding us that beauty and healing are always within reach.
As an author, my writing resonates with many, particularly in my compelling work, *The Phoenix in Me*. This book chronicles the inspiring journey of a courageous young woman who weaves through a rich tapestry of cultures while navigating the complexities of love, joy, and sorrow. It delves powerfully into themes of motherhood, the struggles of custody battles, and the cultural tensions within relationships. Through the protagonist’s challenges with narcissism and her unwavering determination to keep her family intact, I highlight the resilience and strength of women everywhere, emphasizing our incredible ability to rise from adversity—much like a phoenix, emerging stronger and more vibrant than before.
My artistic and literary endeavors continue to inspire individuals from all walks of life, reaffirming my commitment to using art as a powerful means of healing and understanding in our diverse world.
In my second book, *Whispers of the Hearth*, I invite you to embark on a journey where color and emotion intertwine to illuminate the richness of the human experience. As an award-winning artist, I blend evocative poetry with stunning artwork, guiding readers through an exploration inspired by my diverse cultural heritage, from Istanbul to Brazil. Each page stands as a testament to the extraordinary, transformative power of art and literature. Dive into this unique fusion of creativity—let your heart be inspired and uplifted, and allow the beauty of art to remind you that there is always light to be found!

AWARDS
Independent filmmakers who came together to be the voice of untold stories!
We are independent filmmakers who came together to create social impact and be the voice of untold stories to create social justice and awareness.
EyeZone Films makes unforgettable films because we go where few others go, and our focus is rare sensitivity to the humanity of our subjects. Our award-winning short film, The Two Million (2017), offers behind-the-scenes views and emotions of Syrian refugees and their Turkish hosts in very human scenes and conversations after the first wave of mass immigration in 2015. The Five Million (in production in 2019) reveals how refugees and their hosts feel about their progress and how their lives have changed due to their relationship. Parallax Reflection is inspired by true stories of women who are being raped and abused on their way to refugee camps. Our award-winning script, Just Hear Me Out, changes gears; it’s a poignant exposé of online dating.
Our founder, Victoria Derin ISIKMAN, is a writer and awards winner film director.
Victoria recently became the CEO and founder of VFA Creative Events. Her dedication and vision have become a reality, inspiring others to pursue their passions and make a difference in Wheaton, Illinois.
